Hugs relies totally on your generosity and grants to fund this healing program. Please donate!
♥ $35 will enable a child or adult with disabilities to ride for an hour session in a small-group class.
♥ $100 will sponsor 2 riders in our annual "Ride with Pride" Horse Show, giving them the opportunity to showcase their riding skills in front of their cheering section of family and friends!.
♥ $200 will allow us to engage the services of an amazing physical therapist for consultation for two of our group classes.
♥ $500 will buy the therapeutic toys, riding helmets, and other equipment we need to replace every year.
♥ $2,000 will sponsor a class of 10-12 children with disabilities for nine weekly life-changing sessions.

Hugs volunteers
Hugs volunteers are the backbone of the program—without our volunteers Hugs could not operate. For example, each week to ride safely, our Tuesday riders need 14 people to lead horses and walk alongside them. We also need fun-loving, energetic people to throw balls and play games to make for extra merriment and added physical benefit. Because the program is so volunteer intensive, Hugs is always needs new faces, both young and young-at-heart, to help work with our Hugs riders…..no previous experience required!

Hugs riders
Hugs for Horses provides year-round instructor-directed therapeutic and recreational horseback riding and horse experiences for over 90 children and adults with disabilities in weekly small group youth and adult classes and in individual sessions. We do not charge families for our services. We rely totally on grants and donations for our funding.
Riders can be referred by physicians, physical and occupational therapists, social workers, and our riders’ parents. The number of children and adults with disabilities we can serve is directly tied to the level of funding we receive.
Please send us the Rider Information and Waivers form, the Infectious Disease Liability - Waivers form, and a physician referral to apply for therapeutic riding. Please click on the button below for complete information.
